The Gardens Rotary welcomes all Rotarians and Guests to our meetings

Dear Mike,                                             Feb. 8th 2007

I am writing to express my views regarding E-clubs in Rotary. It is my feeling that these clubs are an important supplement to Rotary. Certainly, the mainstay of Rotary is attendance at the weekly meeting, and they cannot substitute completely for this, however I would like to recommend that each Club can permit their members to utilize E-clubs to maintain their attendance.  For instance, I would propose that E-clubs could be used to provide perhaps 10 - 20 % of the attendance requirement at the Club.  Thus if the attendance requirement is 50 meetings per year, participation in E-clubs could contribute 5 - 10 meetings of that total.  The exact percentage could be determined by the board of directors of the Club.

I have been a member of Rotary since 1985, and have been the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Palm Beach Flagler Rotary Club for the last 11 years.  Many of our members go to the Northeastern States or abroad during the summer, and this would help them to maintain their attendance.

With best wishes,

Yours sincerely,
