1) To allow clubs to meet either weekly or twice per month |
Personally, I think once per week works well and
is part of the definition of Rotary. |

8) To allow a club to cancel up to seven regular meetings per year, provided it
does not fail to meet for more than six consecutive meetings - increases
permissible cancellations from four to six. |
The current maximum of 4 per year seems
adequate. I don't like making separate rules for the smaller clubs. |

9) To allow a club to cancel up to eight regular meetings per year, provided it
does not fail to meet for more than four consecutive meetings - increases
permissible cancellations from four to eight. |
|
10) To allow clubs with not more than twenty members to cancel up to twelve
regular meetings per year - increases permissible cancellations from four to
twelve, but only for small clubs. |
|
11) To provide for a club board to cancel a club meeting for commonly recognized
holidays. This leaves the maximum at 4, but adds wording concerning
holidays. |
This changes some language, but leaves the rule essentially
unchanged. |

| 12) To provide for clubs to hold meetings to honor RI on
its anniversary. Would move the meeting nearest to February 23rd to that date. |
This proposal from Columbia is nice, but completely
impractical. Most Rotary Clubs would not be able to easily change their
meeting date. I believe the anniversary date is already well
recognized and celebrated without this requirement. |
