  1. Attendance Requirements
     
    Proposals: MD Comment: Comments from Others Vote:
    14) To require members to attend 50% of regular meetings in each half of the Rotary year
         		 Currently 60%. I don't favor loosening  this rule. (none to date)

     
    15) To require members to attend 50% of regular meetings in each half year, 25% of which shall be the regular meetings of the member's club

    16) To amend the provisions for calculating attendance records - allows a club to disregard an absent member if the board has excused the member
         		 I think this is fair (none to date)
    17) To amend the provisions for calculating attendance records - same as above, but includes RI officers (i.e. District Governor).

  2. Meetings and Events Acceptable for Make-Up

    18) To amend the provisions for making up an absence - changes make-up period from 14 days before and after to unlimited before and 14 days after. Unlimited seems a little too uncertain for me - if a member works up a bank of make-ups he could be gone for months (none to date)

     
    19) To amend the number of days a member has to make up from 14 days to 21 days before or after the usual time of the regular meeting 
         		 I think extending the make-up period is not unreasonable.  On the other hand, six weeks seems like a long time. (none to date)

    20) To amend the number of days a member has to make up from 14 days to 7 days before or after the usual time of the regular meeting
     
         		 This is what we had prior to 2004. I don't believe most Rotarians want to go back (none to date)
    21) To allow attendance credit for inviting a prospective member to a club meeting

     

    		 This is a nice idea, but not practical from a record keeping standpoint. (none to date)
    22) To eliminate the provision allowing attendance credit for a 30-minute interactive club website activity
         		 My feeling is that on-line activity is not a good substitute for a real Rotary Meeting.  On the other hand, I'm also convinced that On-Line Meetings provide a necessary link for business men and women who don't always have the time to make a meeting. Larry Labadie

    23) To limit attendance credit for interactive club website activity to no more than six times during each half year
     
    24) To limit attendance credit for interactive club website activity to no more than two times during each half year
     
    25) To eliminate the provision allowing attendance credit for attending a club board or service committee meeting This is real Rotary activity. Those who don't take leadership roles should at least allow a small benefit to those who do. (none to date)

    27) To excuse absences of past RI officers - this would apply the same rules as the rule of 85 members to Past District Governors.
         		 This benefit only affects PDGs. The voters are 565 PDGs.  How many think this won't pass? (none to date)
