RI ADMINISTRATION

RI Zones and Directors

Proposals: MD Comment: Comments from Others Vote:
172) To request the RI Board to consider forming task forces to study and analyze the problems of low membership and the necessity of redistricting

I think this is needed.

173) To increase the number of directors from 17 to 18 and revise the criteria for setting zone boundaries

This is a board of directors proposal.  I don't know why they need an additional director.

174) To request the RI Board to consider realigning the zones

The RI board already has the authority to re-zone.  This resolution merely asks that they do so in order to even out the Rotarians per zone.
175) To request the RI Board to consider realigning zones so that each district belongs to only one zone

No impact on us, but it seems counterproductive to have a district split between two zones.
176) To request the RI Board to consider transferring Chilean districts to Zone 21B

The four districts in Chile are requesting transfer because their zone is dominated by Argentina. I'll listen to the debate on this one.

177) To request the RI Board to consider reorganizing Zone 5 into three sections

This is another territorial dispute - involving India this time.
178) To request the RI Board to consider creating the position of zone representative District 1660 (France) wants a zone representative position created that would deal with the media.  I believe the zone can create this on its own if it wishes.
